Fast, casual, and tasty Tex-Mex – that’s what you’ll find at Atlanta transplant Taqueria del Sol. The 12 South area is always bustling, especially on the weekends, so if you pass by Taqueria del Sol you’re likely to find a fast-moving line of tourists and locals ready for chips and queso.
The menu is simple – choose from tacos, enchiladas, and daily specials. From the taco menu, you’ll find Southern-inspired eats – smoked pork, brisket, and fried chicken are some highlights. Pescetarians give the fried talapia taco a try, and vegetarians can chow down on a refried bean veggie taco. Tacos are generous in size, so a couple of tacos plus a side is plenty to fill you up.
The enchiladas come in meat and veggie varieties. Choose your filling (brisket, chicken, cheese, or beans) and sauce (lemon cream sauce is our fave) for a satisfying meal. Pair with rice and beans, side salad, turnip greens, or a cup of soup or chili. And of course, start with a trio of salsa, a bowl of queso, or the obvious choice – guacamole! Taqueria del Sol also has a full bar, so you can sip on a cold beer to wash down your Tex-Mex.
