Edley’s Bar-B-Que

Edley’s Bar-B-Que has become a Nashville mainstay, now boasting three locations around town that are always packed with hungry locals and tourists alike. Edley’s calls 12 South, East Nashville, and most recently Sylvan Park home. Each location offers a spacious interior where you can order at the food counter and grab a drink at the full service bar. Take your food to the patio at any of the locations when it’s nice out and sit under string lights while you watch the neighborhood crowds walk by.

If you’re making a trip to Edley’s, no doubt you must order yourself some bbq. Try the pork sandwich, tacos, or a platter for your fill of meat smoked to perfection. If you’re able to make it in for lunch, get the brisket – it sells out quickly, so don’t wait until the end of your lunch break for a taste! Pair your bbq with any of Edley’s sinfully good Southern sides – we love their mac & cheese, cornbread, and banana pudding. You can also order a pint of the sides to go (and yes, we’ve ordered a pint of mac & cheese more than once – it’s that good!).

catfish tacos

The menu also features fried chicken, shrimp, and catfish options served in sandwich, taco, or platter form. The fried catfish is crispy and delicious – we love the taco version topped with tartar sauce, slaw, cheese, and cilantro. And don’t forget about the starters! A basket of fried okra or pickles for the table is the perfect way to start your meal, and the bbq nachos are an Edley’s favorite.

If there’s any room left after your Southern feast, grab a slice of chess pie or a lemon bar for dessert. In true Southern style, the desserts are as buttery and tasty as you would imagine!

Edley’s has $5 Bushwackers all Wednesday long and 2-for-1 drafts on Thursdays to wash down all of that bbq. Bonus: on Saturdays you can get your Edley’s fill for brunch – think your favorite breakfast items kicked up a notch with bbq, fried chicken, and more.  It’s next on our brunch to-eat list!
