When you think of Tennessee, you may not think of wine. But just a short drive out of Nashville proper you can spend an afternoon at the vineyard! Started by Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn in 2007, Arrington Vineyards has provided affordable wine and a real vineyard experience to Tennessee ever since.
Stop in any day of the week for tastings, a picnic, or to restock on bottles of wine. If it’s your first time, opt for a tasting so you can pick your favorite wine to purchase by the bottle. The classic tasting is only $7 and gets you sips from 4 wines of your choice. Want to try them all? Get the expanded tasting for only $14 and sip on 8 different Arrington wines. The wait time can be long for a tasting if you are there on a busy weekend, so you can skip the line and do your own tasting with the Picnic Tasting option – 4 wines poured for you that you can take out to the picnic tables and enjoy on your own.
Choose from reds, whites, and rose, as well as a selection of dessert wines. We recommend the Red Fox Red, a dry red wine blend named for the red fox that plays in the vineyards at Arrington. The Stag’s White is made from 6 different white grapes and is the perfect refreshing drink for a sunny afternoon at the picnic tables. If you’re celebrating a special occasion, go with the Sparkle – a bubbly wine perfect for toasting to something special. They also sell cheese, crackers, and other bites to snack on while sipping on your wine.
Arrington has events throughout the year, and one of the most popular is Music in the Vines. Set up a picnic blanket or arrive early to snag a spot at a table and enjoy free music all evening long. This season, the event offers two spots to listen to music on the property – bluegrass in the barn and jazz in the courtyard. The event fills up quickly, so we recommend arriving early in the afternoon to avoid long parking and wine purchasing lines.
With summer just beginning, it’s the perfect time to plan your next weekend excursion to Arrington Vineyards!
