We’ve never met a place to pamper ourselves that we didn’t like, but Poppy & Monroe stands out from the rest! The creators of this adorable shop believe that wellness starts with the quality of products you choose to use on yourself. In all of their services, they utilize the most natural and eco-friendly products available on the market so that their customers can rest easy. Poppy & Monroe offers more than cosmetic services too. While you’re waiting for your appointment to start (and we do recommend making an appointment, they book up fast!), check out their selection of candles, jewelry, products, and gifts. We couldn’t stop looking and will admit, we bought a few extra things…
Every time we eat at Epice, we wonder why we don’t eat there more often! Whether it’s lunch or dinner, we always walk away happy and full. Epice’s menu has something for everyone – meet lovers, veggie lovers, and everything in between. We suggest starting out with one of Epice’s appetizer dips. For first timers, the Hummos and the Al-Raheb (creamy eggplant puree with tomatoes) are great starting points on the menu. Share with the table or order one for yourself. We’ll be back soon to try brunch. The Shakshuka has our name written all over it!
Fox’s Donut Den is a true Nashville original. If you’re looking for a classic donut shop, with fresh glazed goodness hot out of the oven at nearly any hour of the day, Donut Den is the place for you! Open at 5 a.m., Fox’s is the perfect place to stop for a quick breakfast or to pick up treats for your coworkers. You’ll be greeted by smiling faces, the smell of fresh baked sugary goodness, and trays of donuts.
If you love finding treasures as much as we do, you’ll love Antique Archaeology. They’ve done all the hard work for their customers by scouring the nation for pieces of Americana to proudly display in their homes. If you haven’t heard of the store owners’ TV show American Pickers, it documents the owners’ search through garages, old general stores, junkyards, you name it. They’re on the hunt to find things for their stores in Nashville and Iowa.
Here at the blog we’re clearly big fans of sandwich shops, and Little Mosko’s is no stranger to a delicious sandwich! Their mission is to bring you delicious remixes of everyday food that won’t break the bank, and they are succeeding at doing just that. The menu is short and sweet, because Little Mosko’s focuses on what they do best – quick, simple food with local ingredients that pack each dish with fresh flavor. Every day, the glass case is stocked with delicious baked goods made fresh that morning, so be sure to treat yourself when you order. And don’t forget about the coffee!
Nashville’s Berry Hill neighborhood is filled with tasty finds and friendly faces, and Sam & Zoe’s fits the bill. Sam & Zoe’s is a coffee shop and eatery that is always bustling with locals. On the menu, you’ll find several different breakfast sandwiches that don’t disappoint. If you’re stopping in for lunch, we recommend the TLT deluxe. Cajun seasoned tofu, vegan pesto, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and avocado – it’s our favorite sandwich on the menu! Make the most of your breakfast or lunch break and check out Sam & Zoe’s.
Tacos are definitely on trend in Nashville these days! With all the new taco shops opening in town, you’d think we would get tired of them. Not the case! Each place we’ve tried has been distinct from the rest, and Bajo Sexto is no exception. We started our meal with the guacamole of the day – on our visit, it was peach (hello, peach truck season)! Our food was tasty and definitely satisfied our taco cravings.
Arrington Vineyards has provided the vineyard experience to Tennessee since 2007. Stop in any day of the week for tastings, a picnic, or just to restock on bottles of wine. If it’s your first time, opt for a tasting so you can pick your favorite wine to purchase by the bottle. The classic tasting is only $7 and gets you sips from 4 wines of your choice. We recommend the Red Fox Red, a dry red wine blend named for the red fox that plays in the vineyards at Arrington. With summer just beginning, it’s the perfect time to plan your next weekend excursion to Arrington Vineyards!
Sweet tooth satisfaction – that’s what you’ll get when you visit The Bang Candy Company in Marathon Village. In Bang Candy’s own words this shop is a “Nashville-based sugar-peddler specializing in whimsical confections.” We couldn’t say it better ourselves! Bang Candy creates handmade marshmallows in so many flavors. When we visited, the flavors on display were toasted coconut almond, maple bacon bourbon, roasted strawberry hibiscus, chocolate chile, and violet gin lemon (just to name a few). We tried out the chocolate dipped rose cardamom flavor and picked up a mixed back of flavors for the road.
