We know what you are thinking – can baked treats that are vegan and gluten-free really be that delicious? The answer is yes! Vegan Vee Gluten-Free Bakery makes all of your favorite baked goods, and we promise you won’t miss the eggs, dairy, or gluten.
If it’s your first visit to the bakery, we recommend trying one of their donuts. Vegan Vee makes a variety of donut flavors including chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, lemon berry, pistachio, and more. The flavors change regularly, but the chocolate is one of their staples. On the healthier side, try their breakfast muffin, which is chock full of nuts, raisins, and deliciousness.
On the dessert side, Vegan Vee makes a variety of flavorful cupcakes and cake pops. Ask them to walk you through the cupcake flavors – you’re guaranteed to find something you like. We’ve tried the lemon blackberry and the snickerdoodle, and we’ll be back soon for the s’mores! The cake pops also change frequently – the last time we stopped in the flavor of the day was chocolate pretzel. Yum! You can also pick up ready-made mini cakes for a celebration.
Our favorite goodie we’ve tried so far at Vegan Vee is their cookie sandwich. Chocolate chip cookies with a creamy filling and chocolate drizzled on top. You seriously won’t believe it’s vegan when you bite into it for the first time.
Other than at the bakery, you can find Vegan Vee baked goods at two of our favorite spots in town: The Wild Cow and Thistle Stop Cafe. You can also pick up their treats at the Produce Place in Sylvan Park or Headquarters Coffee on Charlotte Ave.
