art deco lighting, column bases, and stained glass

We get excited for antiques and anything salvaged. It shouldn’t surprise you to hear that we spend way too many hours watching HGTV dreaming about how we’d flip houses, decorate our imaginary homes with beautiful antiques, and save prized architectural pieces from destruction. But why look at salvaged pieces on TV when you can see out in person?

Preservation Station NashvilleAt Preservation Station, you can check out an extensive collection of any architectural piece you can imagine: light fixtures, doors, doorknobs, mantels, windows, shutters – seriously everything! It’s a wonderland of handpicked pieces from days gone by.

The folks at Preservation Station restore each and every piece that comes through their shop, so you can rest assured these awesome pieces aren’t broken down to use just for decoration. They rewire lights and clean up any piece that needs fixing, all while maintaining the piece’s original charm.

On our visit, we wandered the windy paths within the store and found vintage tile pieces, clawfoot tubs, column bases, and stained glass windows. Even if you’re not looking for something in particular, just walking through the Preservation Station collection will give you inspiration for fixing up things in your house or finding a way to incorporate salvaged pieces into your next project.
