The Post East is located on Fatherland just across from Olive & Sinclair. Open since 2014, this neighborhood joint is popular with the locals for fresh cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and a darn good cup of joe.
When you walk in, you’ll see the fridge stocked with cold-pressed juices. For an extra green start to the day, go with the Greenway – full of kale, spinach, apple and more healthy goodness. If you’re in the mood for something a little different from your morning OJ, try the Grapefruit Sunrise, a blend of grapefruit, apple, fennel, lemon, and rosemary. For something a little heartier, try the smoothie route. Their 100% whole food smoothies are packed with fresh fruit, almond milk, nuts, chia seeds, and more.
But don’t stop with the sips – The Post East has a full breakfast and lunch menu as well as an assortment of baked goods that are healthy and delicious. For breakfast, choose from a number of meat-friendly, meat-free, and gluten-free dishes, from omelettes to waffles to quinoa.
We’re fans of the biscuit sammy – a delicious buttermilk biscuit (also available as gluten-free) stuffed with cheesy egg and your choice of tomato, sausage, ham, or bacon. And as always, we recommend adding avocado for an extra boost of flavor. The veggie quiche is another winner, with flakey gluten-free crust that tastes so good you won’t miss the gluten!
Lunch offers a variety of tasty sandwiches and salads that will make any vegetarian or vegan in your life happy. We dug into the vegan chickpea salad sandwich – chickpeas, pecans, dried cranberries, red onion, and celery mixed with vegan cashew mayo on hearty sourdough bread. Next on our list is the wild buffalo – buffalo style tofu with vegan ranch dressing. Yes, please!
And definitely grab a baked treat before you leave. Nearly all have a gluten-free variety, and they make the perfect pair to your fresh pressed juice when you’re on the go!
