We’re on a constant quest for pasta in Nashville – and we mean the real deal, Italian style pasta. Though it is a chain, Il Mulino delivers just what we’re looking for in an upscale Italian restaurant.
The ambiance if formal but still approachable, and the waiters are attentive to your every need. In fact, you’ll even have two waiters attending your table.
During our visit, we sampled Il Mulino’s selection of delicious homemade breads followed by an arugula salad with shaved pecorino cheese and the octopus appetizer. The octopus was melt in your mouth delicious. It was served over a bed of fingerling potatoes, kalamata olives, and tomatoes topped with a rich and citrusy sauce. Our tastebuds were very happy!
For the main course, we went with the veal parmigiana, covered in flavorful tomato sauce and gooey cheese, along with a plate of the arubula and goat cheese ravioli topped with a vodka pink sauce. As a side, we chose the sauteed spinach. We licked the plates clean! Both of the sauces were packed with flavor, and the pasta was just plain great!
We’ll be back for their lunch special prix fixe – two courses for $19 or three for $25. Satisfy your next Italian craving at Il Mulino!
