Moto brings a diverse and flavorful Italian inspired menu to the Gulch’s M Street restaurant enterprise (check out our posts on Kayne Prime and Virago). The restaurant is sure to be busy so make your reservation ahead of time and come ready to indulge!
On the drink menu, you’ll find cocktails like their sweet and bubbly blood orange mule alongside a lengthy wine selection. In the true spirit of Italy, we recommend ordering a bottle for the table to sip with your meal.
Moto’s menu features hot and cold appetizer selections, including a range of salads, seafood options, and an entire section devoted to meatballs. We split the artichoke hearts, grilled and topped with a creamy harissa aioli and the classic fresh burrata, served with heirloom tomatoes and balsamic.
The menu has undergone some changes and additions since Moto opened, including the addition of an oyster menu. Order by the oyster to try each of the varieties!
For the main course, we opted for a new menu item – the potato gnocchi served with mushrooms, blueberry balsamic, and a blue cheese cream sauce. It may sound like a suspicious mix of flavors, but we assure you it is absolutely delicious!
We also ordered the prawns and risotto – a spicy, creamy risotto dish cooked in sea urchin butter and served with large prawns and juicy crab meat. For vegetarians, we suggest the green plate featuring fresh, local veggies that changes with what’s in season.
Next time, we’re saving room for the chocolate mousse cake. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
