Taco lovers, rejoice! Bartaco, a popular taco chain spanning from New York to Florida, is one of 12 South’s newest restaurants. Once you’re seated, you’ll discover Bartaco’s mix of table and counter-style service. The ordering process can be a little confusing for first-timers, but don’t be afraid to ask questions by using the dragonfly card at your table. Just place it in the card holder and an available server will be at your table in no time!
First, the server walked us through the drink options, which covered a ton of local beer options from Jackalope, Yazoo, and more. Next, you’ll order your food using a menu card. Your table shares one card, and you simply check off what you want in your column. The tacos are on the smaller side (about 3 or 4 bites each), so we recommend ordering at least 3 for your meal.
We started with an order of guacamole, served with three large tortilla chips that you break into smaller pieces for dipping – or you can steal an entire one to yourself, no judgment! Next, we opted for their lunch plate special – three tacos and a side.
Among the table, we tried the falafel, root vegetable, shrimp, and fish tacos. There is an impressive number of options for meat lovers, pescetarians, and herbivores! On the side, we went for the salad to balance out our tacos and lunch beers.
The service was friendly and helpful, the food was satisfying, and the ambiance was great for a quick bite with friends to break up the busy work week. We definitely recommend getting your next taco fix at Bartaco!
