We’re on a constant quest for pasta in Nashville – and we mean the real deal, Italian style pasta. Though it is a chain, Il Mulino delivers just what we’re looking for in an upscale Italian restaurant.
At Tower Market and Deli, Bagel Face, DOH Nashville, and Bongo Java are just a few of the local businesses that that stock its shelves. For your first time at the deli counter, we suggest ordering off of their breakfast menu, which is available all day! We’ve tested out their lox and cream cheese bagel as well as their bacon egg and cheese bagel.
Butcher & Bee joined the Nashville food scene in December as a sister restaurant to it’s Charleston predecessor by the same name. In less than a month, Butcher & Bee has won over East Nashville residents with it’s creative menu meant for sharing. Among the constantly growing list of restaurants in Nashville, add Butcher & Bee to your must try list. There is a good chance you’ll see us there when you visit!
Moto’s menu features hot and cold appetizer selections, including a range of salads, seafood options, and an entire section devoted to meatballs. We split the artichoke hearts, grilled and topped with a creamy harissa aoili and the classic fresh burrata, served with heirloom tomatoes and balsamic. The menu has undergone some changes and additions since Moto opened, including the addition of an oyster menu. Order by the oyster to try each of the varieties!
Taco lovers, rejoice! Bartaco is one of 12 South’s newest restaurants, and it’s already very popular with the locals. The tacos are on the smaller side, so we recommend ordering at least 3 for your meal. Among the table, we tried the falafel, root vegetable, shrimp, and fish tacos. There is an impressive number of options for meat lovers, pescetarians, and herbivores!
Good coffee, good food in a super cool space. Barista Parlor’s newest location in Germantown is a huge open warehouse with garage doors to roll up during the warm weather. The coffee-making station is smack in the middle of the space so you can watch the baristas craft your special drink. Visiting the space is an experience in itself. Try their breakfast sandwich with bacon on a biscuit and the espresso tonic – serious hangover cure.
Heading to a Preds game or to a show at the Ryman this weekend? Pub 5 is the perfect spot to grab drinks and dinner downtown beforehand! Their food is approachable and casual while still feeling like a treat. The restaurant keeps ties to pub food but kicks it up a notch.
