Five Daughters Bakery

Five Daughters BakeryFive Daughters Bakery has been serving layered donut perfection to Franklin and Nashville for some time, and now they have opened a brick and mortar location in The Factory at Franklin (with a second one on the way for Nashville’s 12 South neighborhood). This husband and wife duo named their bakery after their 5 daughters, and their passion for baking truly delicious treats has made them one of the most popular donut suppliers in town!

Their specialty is the 100 layer donut, a cronut (croissant + donut dream combination) filled with cream, rolled in sugary goodness, and topped with a glaze. Their flavors change regularly, from classic chocolate and vanilla cream to seasonal offerings of the s’mores, cranberry, pumpkin, and maple glaze. We have yet to meet a 100 layer donut that we don’t love (and devour).

If you’re going the paleo or gluten-free route, don’t worry – you, too, can enjoy a little slice of Five Daughters heaven. The paleo crushers are grain, gluten, dairy, and sugar-free. We tried the chocolate orange paleo crusher on our trip to the new Factory location – it’ll satisfy your sweet craving!

Five Daughters BakeryThey also offer breakfast and lunch items if you want more than just a donut, but trust us when we say you don’t want to miss out on the 100 layer treat when you stop in. If you don’t want to make the trek to Franklin, you can also find their sugary creations at Ugly Mugs in East Nashville and The Jam Coffeehouse on Wedgewood. But we can always find a reason to make the drive to fill a box of Five Daughters Bakery pastries!
