Samurai Sushi is one of our go-tos and has been since freshman year of college, way back in the day! This Nashville staple has been on Elliston Place for as long as we can remember. And for good reason! Its rolls are some of the finest in town. During our last visit, we stopped in for a weekday lunch. We started our meal off with an order of gyoza and a seaweed salad, perfect for sharing between two people. Then came the main attraction…
This month, Fitness Friday takes you to the bike with Krank Nashville. The studio offers three types of classes: cycle, Krank strength, and 30/30. Long before East Nashville became the cool place to be, the founders of the Art and Invention Gallery put down roots in Five Points. Since 2000, the Art and Invention Gallery has been host to art shows and exhibits focusing on inventiveness in every medium. The gallery displays paintings, sculptures, jewelry, crafts – you name it, they’ve shown it! On our last visit, we stopped by their current exhibit: “All Creatures Great and Small” by local artist Elizabeth Foster. Be sure to stop by the gallery before October 11th to catch this exhibit. We’re sure you’ll be hooked on the creativity and inspiration that the Art and Invention Gallery has to offer!
The Ugly Mugs coffee menu features local coffee connoisseur Drew’s Brews. We recommend the hoodie latte to wake you up for the day. The honey, vanilla, and cinnamon spice bring a fun twist to your morning latte routine. The tea menu is equally diverse, with a range of iced and hot teas. Their Minnesota N’ice is one of our favorite iced black teas in town.
Germantown’s Tempered brings together three of our favorite indulgences: wine, chocolate, and cheese. This adorable little shop is a great place for a date or a night out with friends. The store’s chocolatiers make everything from cinnamon hisbiscus truffles to salted earl grey caramels to peanut butter filled chocolate mugs. We’ll take one of each, please!
Castilleja is a home and lifestyle store located in Nashville’s Edgehill neighborhood. The store is filled with bright multi-colored rugs, blankets, and throw pillows that are sure to bring that extra something to your space. Along with items for your home, Castilleja stocks an impressive array of bags, shoes, and clothing that you’re sure to love.
As the summer winds down, we’re taking every chance we can get to enjoy the beautiful Tennessee outdoors. Nashville Paddle Company is one of our new favorite ways to do just that. The company is based on Percy Priest Lake, a short drive from downtown Nashville. Book your stand-up paddleboarding class for this weekend!
We’re loving the most recent addition to Germantown’s food and coffee scene, Steadfast Coffee. Steadfast’s impressive drink menu includes creative concoctions like the flash chilled coffee, coffee soda, and an iced butterscotch latte. Pair your pick-me-ups with any number of fresh, delicious food options .Each dish is simple, made from the highest quality ingredients and the same attention to detail they use when making their coffee concoctions.
