Sunflower Vegetarian Cafe is a standout vegan and vegetarian spot in Berry Hill. Look for the bright yellow building on Azalea Place – when you see the wooden sunflowers that adorn the front lawn, you’ll know you’re in the right place!
Check out their house-made veggie burger – it’s packed with flavor and comes with a variety of topping and presentation options. Go traditional with a whole wheat bun like we did, or try it in wrap or bowl form (with gluten-free options available!).
We also tried the The Southern BBQ burger bowl – the burger topped with BBQ sauce, sauteed onions, and garlic aioli, served on a bed of sesame kale and a mix of quinoa and sunflower rice. Heaven in a bowl, if you ask us!
Not in a burger mood? Try the thai ginger bowl – roasted tofu and carrots tossed in a tahini ginger sauce and served over a bed of sesame kale. Yum!
With a menu chock-full of veggie and vegan options, it’s hard to pick just one favorite! Can’t decide what to order? Sunflower has got you covered: order 4 sides of your choosing for only $12! Choose from hot sides, including smoky collard greens, caramel apples, and sweet potato casserole, and cold sides, like pad thai salad and asian slaw.
Check their Instagram and Facebook accounts for daily specials ranging from tacos to lasagna to “crab” cakes. You’re guaranteed to find something to satisfy those tastebuds. And with this many options, you’ll definitely be coming back to Sunflower Cafe to try it all!
