The Wild Cow

The Wild Cow is THE place for vegetarian and vegan bites in East Nashville. With a menu stocked full of local ingredients and no microwave or freezer on site, The Wild Cow brings together delicious meat-free menu items even carnivores will love. This casual and comfortable restaurant, decorated with paintings of animals and wildlife, is across from Rosepepper Cantina right next to Jeni’s.

cashew dip

While the entire menu is vegetarian friendly, nearly all of the menu items offer vegan and gluten-free alternatives. For starters, we recommend the rich, creamy cashew dip served with cucumbers and warm pita bread or the nachos topped with fajita style seitan, peppers, and onions. Portions are generous and perfect for sharing!

veggie burger- Cali style

Entrees range from tacos to sandwiches. It’s hard to choose just one favorite because everything is just so good. We love the homemade soy-free black bean burger served California style – avocado, sprouts, and homemade ranch. The sweet potato and black bean tacos topped with lime slaw are even better than they sound.

The sides are just as tempting as the main dishes. The garlicky kale is a favorite, and the homemade lemon garlic hummus is another treat. Can’t decide on just one? Order any three sides for just $8.50!

wild cow 3The Wild Cow also sells a variety of vegan desserts from cookies to cakes, including raw and gluten-free options. They can also do custom cake orders, from your basic vanilla and chocolate to pistachio rosewater or triple chocolate ganache.

Check out their website for regular specials. We love the $10 veggie burger and pint night every Monday. So go ahead and give Meatless Monday a try at The Wild Cow!
