Since its doors opened in 2003, Yazoo Brewing Company has become one of Nashville’s signature breweries. Yazoo began bottling its beers in 2005 and in 2010 moved to it’s current location in the Gulch.
The brewery is open for tours Wednesday-Friday at 5 pm and 6 pm and every 30 minutes on Saturdays from noon to 5 pm. The tour is only $8 and you get a souvenir glass. They sell out quickly, so buy tickets online to get your spot for a firsthand look at Yazoo in the making.
Didn’t snag a spot on the tour? That’s okay – you can still visit the taproom and enjoy all of Yazoo’s delicious brews. The taproom is open Wednesday and Thursday 4-8 pm, Friday 2-8 pm, and Saturday 12-6 pm. Come early and snag your spot on the patio for happy hour on warm summer evenings.
Try the award winning Hefeweizen for a crisp, refreshing beer that is perfect for summertime. The Dos Perros, a Mexican inspired malt beer, is a local favorite. And you can’t go wrong with the smoky, high-gravity Sue (it’s so tasty, Jeni’s even made a Sue ice cream!). If you can’t make up your mind, go for the beer flight, which will let you try many of the Yazoo favorites before you commit to just one.
Hungry? Yazoo also has a locally sourced menu complete with beer bread, cheese plates, chips & salsa, and more. And you’ll usually find a food truck parked outside. You can check the website for the daily menu and the food truck schedule.
Don’t forget to check out their merchandise. We love our Yazoo slap beer bracelet – a koozie that doubles as a slap bracelet. The Nashville skyline can glass or the Yazoo growler make for great gifts for beer lovers everywhere!
Come out and enjoy a cold one at this Nashville original!
