Mitchell Delicatessen

Mitchell Delicatessen is one restaurant that we seriously crave all. the. time. Home to some of the best sandwiches in town, this East Nashville/Inglewood spot is your favorite lunch stop. Opened in 2008 in the Riverside Village shopping center, the deli recently moved into a larger space just across the street on McGavock Pike to accommodate it’s growing popularity.

They offer a salad bar if you’re feeling extra healthy, but we highly recommend going for the sandwich menu if it’s your first visit. Made from the finest ingredients, including meats cured in house, you can find a range of sandwich options so good you’ll have a tough time picking just one.

Their most popular item is the Turkey Avocado: turkey, cheddar, avocado, Benton’s bacon, sprouts, tomato, and mayo on whole wheat. Our favorite is the BBQ Asian Tofu: BBQ seasoned baked tofu, avocado, pickled cucumber, sprouts, and house-made sesame ginger dressing on a hoagie. We could seriously eat here every day, and that still wouldn’t be enough!

They also have a killer breakfast bar. Fresh eggs, biscuits, gravy, breakfast potatoes, Benton’s bacon, and house-cured sausage. Sounds like the perfect way to start your morning!

Thirsty? Wash down your sandwich with a cold beer – they have an excellent draft and bottle selection.

And if you want to impress guests at your next event, Mitchell’s even does catering. Because you can never have too many delicious sandwiches.

Don’t take our word for it, though. Go try a sandwich for yourself and see why it’s our favorite sandwich shop in town!
