Shakti Power Yoga is the perfect place to both sweat it out and find your center. With two studios (Music Row and Germantown) and an ever-growing class schedule, you can find us getting our flow on at this popular power yoga studio on the regular.
Their mission is to empower you on and off the mat, and you can feel it from the second you walk in the door. The studio was started by two passionate sisters (Kelly & Lauren Farina) who share a love for yoga, and we are so glad that they have shared that love with Nashville!
The Music Row location on 16th in the Edgehill neighborhood was the first to open in a converted house. The old home has beautiful wood floors, large windows, and a cozy feel. The main yoga room also has plenty of windows to bring in the sunlight as you push yourself to new levels.
Sign in at the front desk and drop your things in any of the cubby spaces or benches down the hall. Bring or rent a mat, towel, and water bottle – the room is heated and you will most definitely break a sweat. Arrive a few minutes early to snag a spot in the room because classes are often packed.
They recently opened a second location in Germantown and are now offering an expanded class schedule. Break a sweat on the mat and then walk on over to Red Bicycle for a post-workout treat in one of our favorite Nashville neighborhoods.
Their new member deal is a steal – 30 days for $30. Try the traditional Power Flow class (1 hour 15 minutes) or a Power Hour (1 hour) on your lunch break (they have showers at both studios so you can go back to work fresh and clean!). Check the schedule regularly for fun alternate class options, like restorative yoga or karma yoga. The studios also offer workshops that are great for any level, so head over to their website to keep up with events.
Can’t get enough of the yoga life? Shakti plans a yearly yoga retreat to Costa Rica. One week of yoga and empowerment, along with hiking, mediation, and other adventures at a beach front resort in Santa Teresa. We have been looking to plan a vacation…
